hi!

I’m Christie and I write Vodka Aunt Travels. This is a space where I share my adventures around the world and what I learn about myself, others, and the world at large as I go - this is a journey in more than one sense, it is both figurative and spiritual.

Why “Vodka Aunt Travels”?

I pulled this name from Urban Dictionary:

I have 16 nieces and nephews (and counting!) and very little brings me more joy than traveling and bringing them goodies, telling them stories, and being their general partner in crime. Vodka is also my favorite alcohol… I know, I’m that girl.

I work remotely at a tech company; 2021 is the year I took advantage of the flexibility and began learning the world solo. It is both good and terrifying and I’ve learned a lot already.

Along with traveling, Vodka Aunt Travels is a way I’m working on growth this year. If you follow along, you can expect musings on things I’ve been reading or thinking about lately as well as photo dumps and updates on travels.
